Kloé Donley is a New Orleans native and rising star defining her own style of Southern Baroque Pop. At just 25, Donley is something of a savant, her self-taught, maximalist style fuses glamour, modernity, and timelessness in high-gloss harmony. Her richly adorned portraits—featuring cultural icons like Dolly Parton, Sophia Loren, and Stevie Nicks—are rendered in vibrant enamel palettes, layered with florals, accessories, and historical motifs. With a background in competitive gymnastics, Donley brings precision, discipline, and a relentless work ethic to her practice. Her signature resin finishes, ornate decorative patterns, jewel and crystal embellishments, and radiant color choices have quickly earned her a reputation for work that is unapologetically joyful, deeply considered, and technically refined.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I paint what I like—what I would want in my house—and my work is built to dazzle, to delight, to live with. My paintings are sensory-forward, drawing from Pop and Baroque traditions and personal memories, combining bold palettes, decorative backdrops, sparkling resin finishes, and the iconography of Hollywood, music, and pop culture. Every painting is deliberately crafted to bring beauty, joy, and a sense of reverence to the everyday, transforming familiar figures into radiant icons. With Let Them Eat Color, I invite you to not only see color-but to indulge in it, to be consumed by it, to feast on it.
